Assert

Albert Camus, a writer who has, for some time, entertained the minds of many a 16-18 year old white male, quiet, introverted high school type, once said "to know yourself is to assert yourself." Given, however, that, in order to assert oneself, one must generally know what one wants to assert, many find themselves unable to assert themselves for not knowing themselves, at which point, given they are not known, themselves, are clearly not, in turn, asserting.
